Cassandra Ogbevire (she/her/hers)
Cassandra, BIPOC Research Fellow
Cassandra joins Springtide as our 2022-23 BIPOC Research fellow, working closely with Associate Researcher Nabil Tueme to understand social phenomena that impact Gen Z’s transition into adulthood and how they make sense of their identities. During her fellowship, Cassandra hopes to investigate the ways religious and spiritual practices can serve as a protective factor for Gen Z youth of color as they navigate inequities. Cassandra is a graduate of Spelman College and is currently earning her master’s degree in divinity at United Lutheran Seminary. When she’s not working, she’s taking in the arts or enjoying anything sci-fi.
